CD PROJEKT RED, the video game development studio known for the acclaimed The Witcher series and for the best seller Cyberpunk 2077, announced that it has started a collaboration with the global media company Anonymous Content to develop a live-action project set in the world of Cyberpunk 2077 video game.
Anonymous Content is an independent media company known for producing Emmy winning series such as True Detective and Mr. Robot, as well as award winning films such as The Revenant and Spotlight. As part of the collaboration, CD PROJEKT RED will work directly with the Anonymous Content Studios Television Manager Garret Kemble, with the Director of Development Ryan Schwartz and with the creative director David Levine, a veteran of the industry who has previously been for over 10 years EVP and Co-Head of Drama of HBO, where he oversaw serial production such as True Detective, Westworld and True Blood. He also participated in the production of the first seasons of Game of Thrones.
Among the series currently produced by AC Studios are Saint X, directed by Dee Rees, Shantaram with Charlie Hunnam, The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey with Samuel L. Jackson and Dominique Fishback as well as the second season Random Acts of Flyness. Incoming series include 4th season of True Detective with Jodie Foster, Time Bandits by Taika Waititi, Disclaimer by Alfonso Cuarรณn, with Cate Blanchett and Kevin Kline, and SavantWith Jessica Chastain.
The new project is in an initial phase of development and currently the search for a screenwriter to tell a new story set in the world of Cyberpunk 2077. Garrett Kemble, David Levine, Ryan Schwartz and Bard Dorros will produce on behalf of Anonymous Content along with Charlie Scully. The AC Studios of Anonymous Content will be the study of the project. The project will be developed in close collaboration with the creative team of Cyberpunk 2077. Further information on the project will be available as the collaboration between Anonymous Content and CD PROJEKT RED will progress.
CD PROJEKT RED has already succeeded in adapting the world of its best-selling video games to new media, such as the anime series of Netflix Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, acclaimed by critics and created in collaboration with Studio Trigger, who won several important awards, including Anime of the year by IGN and Crunchyroll. In 2023, CD PROJEKT RED published Cyberpunk 2077: NO COINCIDENCE written by the author of best-seller science fiction Rafal Kosik, while the brand new table game Gangs of Night City is currently in production at the CMON table game publisher.
