Studio BBB announced the launch of MONOWAVE, puzzle-adventure platformer available from today on PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch at the price of 8,99 euro, with a 10% discount for a limited period. The game combines exploration, platformers and puzzles built around emotions, following the journey of Mono, a young Guardian in charge of bringing back balance in a mysterious world.

At the heart of the adventure we findFour Dispersed Emotions, Anxiety, Rabbi, Sadness and Happiness, that Mono will gradually reunite. Each directly alters the possibilities of movement and interaction with the environment: Anxiety allows you to perceive traps, the Rabbia allows you to perform jumps on the walls, the Sadness to cross particularly narrow passages and Happiness increases the height of jumps. These skills will also continue to evolve during the adventure, opening new exploration possibilities. Emotions not only affect platforming. In the world of MONOWAVE are present 18 different spirits, each capable of reacting differently to the emotional state of Mono. Singing near creatures and alternating the four emotions will be possible to discover 72 different interactions, some of which will have consequences on the resolution of puzzles and exploration. The four main bosses will also be built around a specific emotion, testing how much they learned during the trip.
In addition to the main route, Studio BBB has inserted eight hidden levels, two for each of the four regions, together with several Codes dedicated to spirits, environments, worlds and Spirits of Emotions. The goal is to encourage exploration and further deepen the relationship between the game world and the emotional states that determine its rules.
"We wanted players to experience emotions and empathy through gameplay", explained Gwonyeong Lim, CEO of Studio BBB, emphasizing how understanding the mood of spirits can become directly a tool to find a solution and continue in adventure.
MONOWAVE is available today on Steam and Nintendo Switch to 8,99 euros, with a 10% launch discount. Versions PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S will arrive in 2026 instead.
