Wizards of the Coast presents Aetherdrift, the newest Magic: The Gathering set that will catapult you into a frenetic interdimensional race. Get ready to grip the steering wheel and slam the accelerator to the max, because the Ghirapur Grand Prix is about to unleash its full force and only the fastest will claim glory.
The most spectacular event of the Multiverse is finally here: the Ghirapur Grand Prix! At the heart of the competition is a legendary prize: the Scintilla d’Etere, a fragment of Planeswalker energy that could reignite the fate of whoever lost it. Among the most determined participants we find Chandra Nalaar, determined to obtain the Scintilla for her beloved Nissa Revane, who lost it during the events of L’Avanzata delle Macchine.
But it won’t be a smooth race: the track winds through some of Magic’s most iconic planes, including Avishkar, Amonkhet e Muraganda. Every curve, every straight, every jump will push players to the limit of their abilities. Speed will be everything.
Aetherdrift introduces some of the most adrenaline-fueled mechanics ever seen in Magic: The Gathering.
- Maximum Speed – When a card indicates “Engage the engines”, the player begins monitoring their speed level. Each turn in which they deal damage to the opponent, speed increases until reaching Maximum Speed, enhancing card effects and abilities.
- Exhaust – A single-use mechanic that triggers a powerful effect, but only once per match. You can use it for a last-second overtake or to flip the race’s outcome!
- Rides and Vehicles – Your choices will influence your race strategy. Will you select aerodynamic and technologically advanced vehicles, or powerful beasts capable of overwhelming opponents?
To make Aetherdrift even more spectacular, Wizards of the Coast has prepared some irresistible goodies for collectors:
- Scintilla d’Etere Foil Serialised Full-Art Borderless – Only 500 numbered copies, available exclusively in the Collector Booster.
- First-Place Box Topper – Every Play Booster and Collector Booster contains a rare or mythic rare card in gold foil edition, plus a full-art Base Land.
