A few years after the original launch, Ark Island Studio decided to give a second chance to its strategic fantasy Tears of Adria, publishing a new launch trailer definitely out of the schemes and taking advantage of the sales dedicated to the games developed in Sweden on Steam.

The team did not miss an opportunity to iron out on the game's debut in 2023, defining it a success of... absolute silence.
"Naturally, we interpreted it as an encouragement. Then, perhaps the problem was tactical," joked Jakob Köster, co-founder of the studio.
Developers say they have published the game on Steam waiting for the audience to find out spontaneously, perhaps thanks to divine intervention or some mysterious error of the algorithm. As predictable, however, this never happened. For this reason, Ark Island Studio decided to return to office with a new trailer that, more than explaining the game, aims to "disturb silence in the correct way".
But what exactly is Tears of Adria? It is a particular Strategic RPG in real time inspired by the formula Heroes of Might and Magic, in which fighting is managed through a system of autobattle while the real weight of victories and defeats falls on the player's decisions. Each game begins with a single hero who will gradually build his team by choosing companions, equipment and semi-casual upgrades. Like any good strategic roguelite that you respect, each run will require you to continuously adapt your strategy, deciding when to invest everything in a particular build and when, instead, change completely approach after a brilliant initial plan has turned into a precious life lesson.
The title can be played both in single and in multiplayer up to four players, with PvP and cooperative mode. Even in this case, however, developers do not give up the humor that characterizes the communication of the game, specifying that the cooperative "works technically", although rarely remains cooperative very long. In the meantime, Tears of Adria received an important update that significantly improved the overall experience, intervening on the pace of play, the visual impact and the early hours of adventure.
The new trailer, entitled ♪, perfectly represents the spirit of the project. The narrative begins as every classic fantasy adventure, between prophecies, destiny and the reassuring idea that the chosen hero will arrive at the right time to save the world. Then comes the small, fundamental correction that defines the entire philosophy of Tears of Adria.
Sometimes the wrong hero is all you have.
