Certainly, the first thing that strikes you about Springs, Eternal is its graphics, which evokes the pixelated PC games of pc the 1990s. The player will find themselves in Stillwater Springs, a thermal spring surrounded by vegetation shrouded in mist, where dreamlike and unsettling paths branch into the darkness. Through a first-person view, players will need to explore the area, interacting with other characters and having conversations with them.
The whole thing becomes darker because the hot spring is completely submerged in darkness. From the trailer, it seems that Springs, Eternal is set exclusively at night.
Examining not only the trailer but also the first images released, Springs, Eternal infuses the player with a sense of otherworldly tranquillity, which clashes strongly with the general unease that permeates the game.. Fullbright, with its works, is known for masterfully evoking a feeling of peace and security, but always accompanied by a subtle sense of unease, as we can well remember in Gone Home.
It also seems that in Springs, Eternal, interactions with other characters and the relationships they will form will play an important role within the game. Each character’s story will intertwine with the protagonist’s and could reveal many hidden secrets buried deep within Stillwater.
Springs, Eternal by Fullbright is currently in development and its release is expected on PC in PC 2026.
