KRAFTON has released today the update “Animal Tracks” for its beloved life-sim Dinkum, available on PC via Steam. The new update expands farm and exploration gameplay by introducing new animals, a breeding system, and the ability to build and customise a real Treno to traverse the island in style.

The new rearing system allows players to raise and manage their own farm over time thanks to the new Animal Rearing License. From today, players will be able to raise puppies and breed generations of animals, making the farming experience more alive and natural. Two new species join the roster: the Rooster and the Penguin, which can be cared for alongside other farm animals. Additionally, new wild creatures such as the Vombull, the Plunk and the Boaricoot populate the island, ready to be discovered or tamed.
The real new feature of the update is the Train, a new mode of transport that enriches exploration. Built with the help of the NPC Franklyn, the Train allows players to create their own rail network, complete with tracks, bridges, and unique routes. Straight and curved sections can be combined, connecting different areas of the island and traversing landscapes with a touch of imagination, thanks also to the new Conductor’s Set, a costume designed to complete the travel atmosphere.
The update also includes several quality-of-life improvements and new items. Among these stands out the Auto Placer, a tool that allows materials to be automatically loaded into nearby devices such as barbecues and ovens. New resources like the Native Bread and the Earthworms enrich daily activities and crafting recipes.
The update “Animal Tracks” is now available for the Steam version of Dinkum and will also arrive on Nintendo Switch later. To celebrate the launch, the game is on discount on Steam from 29 October to 5 November, with -20% off the base title and up to -30% off bundles.
