During the Opening Night Live at Gamescom 2025 in Cologne, SQUARE ENIX and Capcom have finally revealed the first details of the much-anticipated crossover between two of their flagship franchises: Final Fantasy XIV Online and Monster Hunter Wilds.
To present the collaboration, Naoki Yoshida, Producer and Director of Final Fantasy XIV, and Ryozo Tsujimoto, Producer of Monster Hunter Wilds, showcased an exclusive preview of what players can expect starting from inizio ottobre 2025, when the formidable Guardian Arkveld makes its appearance in the world of Eorzea. This event marks the meeting of two Japanese gaming titans, with unique content promising to blend the narrative depth and MMO evolution of FFXIV with the epic challenges and iconic creatures of the Monster Hunter world.
The moment couldn’t be more propitious to begin the adventure in Final Fantasy XIV Online, which has recently surpassed the threshold of 30 million registered accounts. The Free Trial, increasingly generous, now allows you to play without time limits in A Realm Reborn, Heavensward and Stormblood (up to Patch 4.58), offering an experience equivalent to three complete titles of the FINAL FANTASY series, completely free.
