Warner Bros. Games and NetherRealm Studios, in collaboration with McFarlane Toys, announce a new summer update for Mortal Kombat Mobile, now live, and the introduction of Spawn as a new fighter.

Spawn, one of the most sought-after characters in this fighting game, is the protagonist of the best-selling comic book series and makes his debut in the mobile version as Tormented Soul Spawn, a diamond-level, nomad-class character who wields Necroplasma.
Voiced by actor Keith David, original voice of “Todd McFarlane’s Spawn”, the Emmy-winning HBO animated series, this new warrior features the iconic design and mind-blowing powers that echo the console version of Mortal Kombat 11. Thanks to Hellraiser Passive, Tormented Soul Spawn can generate necroplasma energy, which he’ll use to heal himself and his teammates, or unleash devastating counterattacks against his enemies.
In the coming months, MK1 Kenshi will also be launched MK1 Kenshi, the third warrior from Mortal Kombat 1 to join the game. Armed with his powerful sword "Sento", this fierce warrior can summon the spirits of his ancestors to boost his speed and unleash a terrifying spectral strike.
Further updates to Mortal Kombat Mobile include:
- Hellspawn Tower and new gear (17 July - 28 August): face a hellish challenge as you dive into a fiery underground world teeming with undead and demonic entities such as the Boss Tormented Soul Spawn and the Hellspawn Scorpion. Equip your characters with Hellspawn Tower-themed gear to enhance their infernal abilities and dominate the battlefield. Rewards include a guaranteed diamond character with a higher chance of obtaining the Hellspawn Scorpion, Circle of Shadow Liu Kang, MK11 Raiden, or MK11 Shang Tsung.
- Fatal Hellspawn Tower (24 July - 21 August): play a harder version of Hellspawn Tower to have a chance to add Spawn to your collection. Rewards include a guaranteed diamond character with a higher chance of obtaining Tormented Soul Spawn, MK1 Scorpion, Circle of Shadow Nightwolf, Circle of Shadow Quan Chi or MK11 Liu Kang.
- Friendship and Brutality (now available): this update introduces three new Friendship and a new Brutality! Collect the new Krypt gear to activate Kano's Friendship and Kenshi's new Brutality. Raiden's and Liu Kang's Friendship are available in the new Hellspawn Tower gear.
- Karte fusione (now available): a new way to fuse your fighters and gear: collect new Karte Fusione and decide how to best enhance your characters.
- Free gifts (25–29 July): log in to receive for free "Spawn Goes to Con", which includes his custom gear, K7-Leetha, 100 anime and 50 dragon crystals. Go to the game store to get 10 Spawn summoning packs and the chance to add him to your collection.
