Yesterday, the publisher Merge Games and the developer Dimfrost Studios launched the demo of their upcoming dark horror adventure Bramble: The Mountain King, available only for players on Steam. Bramble: The Mountain King, which will nevertheless be released on consoles, draws from Nordic myth tales, rich with powerful and mysterious creatures, to tell a unique story about the courage of a boy facing seemingly insurmountable dangers.

In this new demo, players will venture behind the veil of darkness into the world of Bramble, particularly into the realm of Näcken. Näcken is just one of the mysterious and terrifying creatures that populate the world conceived by the Swedish team: known as the Mad Dancer, a creature born from sadness, shame, and the pursuit of revenge, the first trailer for Bramble Origins explores its story. Players will be able to taste the beast they must face in this exclusive demo lasting between 40 minutes and 1 hour of gameplay.

We’ll dress Olle, a young but courageous boy, called by fate to adventure through the eerie and wonderful landscapes of Bramble to save his sister from the monsters that inhabit it. Often feeling overwhelmed by the challenges he’ll face, he’ll be forced to traverse a magical world of giants and gnomes, always alert to distinguish friends from foes on an epic journey of suspense and survival.

Bramble: The Mountain King is scheduled for release in 2023.
