Arma 3, military simulator by Bohemia Interactive with over 10 million copies sold and hundreds of thousands of players monthly, turns 10 on September 12. To celebrate, Bohemia Interactive has planned an anniversary livestream, two weeks of sales Steam, and a free platform update. After a decade of virtual operations, Bohemia Interactive continues to support Arma 3 and its exceptional community, which has made the game a success for many years.
The Alpha version of Arma 3 was first released in March 2013. It was one of the first titles to enter 's Early Access Steam and was the first to leave when version 1.00 was released on 12 September 2013. Since then, the base Arma 3 game has sold over 10 million copies, has received more than 50 free updates and has been enriched by 10 packs DLC and 2 expansions that have collectively sold over 11 million copies. Five DLC Creator, developed by third-party studios under Bohemia's Creator DLC initiative. Beyond the wide variety of official content, Arma 3 has also become an immensely popular platform for user-generated content, with over 300,000 objects shared by players on Steam Workshop, which have added tons of scenarios, resources, sounds, features and fully free conversions created by the community.
Arma 3 continues to thrive today, with a 91% positive rating on Steam (based on over 154,000 reviews), more than 148,000 registered community members and an average playtime per user of over 194 hours. Hundreds of thousands of people still play the game each month.
Bohemia Interactive will host a Live Stream for the 10th Anniversary, hosted by Senior Arma Community Manager Nillers, who will revisit the last decade of Arma 3 and feature some special guests, including key minds behind the title's development. The stream will air at 18:00 Italian time on the official channels Twitch and YouTube.
