Starbreeze and Deep Silver are announcing that PAYDAY 3, the cooperative shoot 'em up par excellence themed around heists, will feature two new playable female characters at launch: Pearl and Joy. This exciting announcement is accompanied by a first preview of the post-launch plan for the first year.

PAYDAY 3 will include two new playable characters at launch, namely the female members of the gang Pearl and Joy. They will join the original group of clown-masked criminals (Dallas, Hoxton, Wolf and Chains) for a total of six heists available at launch of PAYDAY 3 on 21 September.
Pearl is a master thief and a seasoned infiltrator who’s comfortable managing street-level scams as well as taking on the rich and famous when it serves her goal. She doesn’t leave things to chance — things rarely go wrong for her. But if the situation demands it, she’ll reach for a firearm. And don’t be fooled: she’s a fierce fighter. Joy is a brilliant hacker and cybersecurity expert. A ruthless hunter. Joy is a dangerous combination of both. She has zero respect for authority and a twisted sense of humour. But in a heist, she’s a top-tier ace.
PAYDAY 3 reveals for the first time the content and updates players can expect in the first year after launch. The post-launch plan includes the following updates:
DLC 1 – Syntax Error is scheduled for winter 2023
DLC 2 – Boys in Blue is scheduled for spring 2024 .
DLC 3 – The Land of the Free will release in summer 2024
DLC 4 – Fear and Greed due in autumn 2024
Some additional content players can expect after the game's release on 21 September: seasonal events, playable characters, new enemies, weapons, Unreal Engine 5 update, cosmetics, quality-of-life improvements, new features and much more.
