From today, Update 39 of The Elder Scrolls Online is available free of charge on PC/Mac. This new update introduces a series of anticipated improvements and new features to The Elder Scrolls Online for all ESO players. The base game’s Update 39 is now available on PC/Mac, while the console version for Xbox and PlayStation will arrive on 5 September.
This update includes improvements to missions and content for new players, a series of changes that reduce the quantity and frequency of missions offered to low-level characters. Now, these missions will be offered gradually as the character levels up, guiding them through their journey within ESO. Additionally, in this update, the PNGs of Tamriel that transport characters to their destinations have been improved. Now, these navigators indicate whether they can transport players to a location associated with a subsequent mission (active or inactive).
Beyond missions and content, Update 39 also modifies certain types of items to improve their management. Items similar to those from the Crown Store sourced from different origins can now be grouped using the “Stack All Items” option. Furthermore, this update clearly indicates whether an item can be sold or not, helping players identify and remove unwanted items.
In addition, Update 39 brings several new features to PvP, including improved death notifications, Treasure Scamp Drop Boost and new rewards that include three Cyrodiil Monster Masks. Beyond the PvP updates, we have also implemented improvements to the house editor, including the Preview Crown Furnishings feature, which allows players to preview how a piece of furniture would fit into their home before purchasing it, and the Inventory Furnishing Placement feature, which enables players to place items in their home directly from their inventory and collections.
