SEGA e Sports Interactive have announced today that the PlayStation 5 version of Football Manager 2023 Console will not be available from 8 November, as originally planned, due to unforeseen complications that arose during the submission and approval processes.
Miles Jacobson, Studio Director at Sports Interactive, said: โWe are truly devastated by what has happened and have worked tirelessly with our partners for weeks trying to fix what has occurred. It was very difficult to make the decision to delay the release, as it means pushing back a game that many talented people at SI have worked on for a long time. We will continue to do everything we can to get the game into the hands of PS5 users as soon as possible.โ
SEGA and Sports Interactive will provide new updates as soon as possible. All customers who pre-purchased the game via the PSN digital store will receive a refund where applicable, according to the platform's terms and conditions. The release of the other FM23 versions is still scheduled for 8 November.
