Football Manager 2024, the result of 20 years of work and dedication to capture the essence of real football, will be released worldwide on 6 November.
The 20th chapter of the historic series by Sports Interactive and SEGA is also set to mark an important milestone for the studio and the entire SEGA family: its official debut in Japan. The ability to transfer careers from Football Manager 2023, FM23 Console and FM23 Touch is just one of the main new features this year. Many of these are influenced by the ever-evolving world of football, as well as suggestions from professionals through new and existing partnerships.

For the first time in the studio’s history, the official announcement trailer, published today, ends with a roadmap that outlines the main features of the various versions and their respective release dates. The updates for the PC/Mac version, including the new management of inactive balls and a more intelligent market and financial management system, will be revealed in detail by the end of September.
This year, alongside the platforms where the FM title lineup is available, Netflix — the exclusive home of Football Manager 2024 Mobile— is joining the list. Subscribers to Netflix worldwide, whether longtime fans or newcomers, will be able to access FM via the same app used to watch their favourite films and TV series. Football Manager 2024 Console is ready to return for the new season on Xbox and PlayStation 5, following the excellent debut last year on Sony’s flagship console. Both FM24 Console (Xbox) and FM24 (PC/Mac) will also be available again via Xbox Game Pass. As outlined in the roadmap, the new features for FM24 Console will be revealed during the week starting from 22 October. Football Manager 2024 Touch (on Nintendo Switch) is preparing for the new season. All details regarding the features will be revealed at the end of October, before the expected release in November.
From today until the launch day, all those who pre-order FM24 (for PC and Mac) and FM24 Console (Xbox and PlayStation 5) through an authorised digital retailer from SEGA will receive a 10% discount. Those who pre-order FM24 for PC and Mac will also have the opportunity to start their managerial career early via early access. Early access will be available via Steam and Epic Games Store approximately two weeks before the official launch and single-player careers started during that period can be continued even after the release of 6 November and the update to the game’s final version.
