The annual Foundation Festival of Star Citizen begins today and runs until 31 July and Cloud Imperium is offering players free access to the game from 12 to 19 July.
The festival introduces an expanded experience for new players and returning ones, along with a guidance system to connect veteran pilots with newcomers and help them on their space journey. Three initial bundles will also be discounted to make it easier than ever to get aboard.

New players and returning players can take their first steps in the game with the expanded new player experience, available at all starting locations, before discovering more advanced tips and tricks through the Guides System, a program that leverages the Star Citizen community to connect veteran pilots with new arrivals to deepen their training in specific areas. Completing guided sessions rewards all participants: veteran players will receive exclusive cosmetic items for pilots who share their knowledge, while new players will earn useful weapons and their first Multi-Tool, their first Multi-Tool, a fundamental piece of technology in the universe.
During the Foundation Festival, each weekend will offer participants in Guided Sessions bonus rewards, further rewarding players with up to two sets of armor and weapons of accompaniment if they attend sessions for at least two weekends.
