After nearly three years since its launch, battered by extremely scarce stock and black-market activity, Sony’s flagship console Sony seems finally to be readily available to players. Those who haven’t yet managed to secure a console will certainly not have appreciated CEO Jim Ryan’s decision to raise the price of both PS5 versions by €50. And from 13 to 24 July, the PlayStation 5 with disc drive will be available for €449.99 instead of €549.99, offering a savings of €100 (or €50 pre-price increase, to be precise).
The promotion is active at all participating retailers and can also be taken advantage of on direct.playstation.com, PlayStation’s official online store.
2023 has so far been a fantastic year for PS5, with countless contents that have entertained players, among them Hogwarts Legacy and Final Fantasy XVI; in addition to virtual reality experiences such as Horizon Call of the Mountain and Resident Evil Village on PlayStation VR2, the newest VR headset from PlayStation.
Moreover, new and surprising adventures are coming in the coming months, such as Marvel's Spider-Man 2, Assassin's Creed Mirage and Alan Wake 2.
