Red Hook Studios, the developer of Darkest Dungeon, announced the launch of Curse of the Court, third and last narrative module of the mode Kingdoms of Darkest Dungeon II. The free expansion will arrive 28 August 2025 on PC and Mac, while a console version will follow later.
With Curse of the Court will make its entrance a new enemy faction: I Bloodsuckers, ruthless vampire creatures already appeared in DLC The Crimson Court of the first Darkest Dungeon.

The module will introduce:
Three new maps of Kingdoms to explore.
One new series of missions and goals.
One unique mechanics of “Curse”, able to deeply influence the gameplay.
Chris Bourassa, Creative Director of Red Hook Studios, commented on the announcement:
“Curse of the Court is the third adventure module for DD2 Kingdoms mode. Just like the previous two, this update adds new elements, mechanics and a dangerous array of unpublished horrors to deal with... all enclosed in another FREE update. At this point, the amount of free content included in Darkest Dungeon II shatters madness! We really hope that our players will appreciate the return of the Bloodsuckers! ”
Introduced as a free mode, Kingdoms brought in Darkest Dungeon II a different formula than Confessions, moving the focus from individual survival to defense of the kingdom and inns against waves of enemies.
With the arrival of this third module, the Kingdoms mode can be considered complete. I three modules of adventure that make up this mode are:
Hunger of the Beast Clan – centered on men-bestia.
Secrets of the Coven – with an evil congregation.
Curse of the Court – which now introduces the fierce Bloodsuckers.
In addition to the free update, Red Hook Studios and Skybound Games also announced the Darkest Dungeon II: Anniversary Edition, planned for the fourth quarter of 2025 up Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5.
