This new game mode challenges players in a desperate fight against time to find and defeat a monstrous threat before it overwhelms and destroys the Kingdom, consisting of a network of inns that act as a refuge. The player travels through these lands to collect resources and face the incursions of evil. The resources acquired are used to optimize the heroes and the same inns, which can be improved by means of large enhancement diagrams. Players will embark on unique missions and fight against three new factions of monsters: The Coven, Beastmen and Crimson Courtiers. Kingdoms you can play regardless of the original campaign of the game, “Packs“.
“Kingdoms is an exciting project. Looking at our publications, none of our games or DLC has never retraced already beaten roads, and we are proud to continue the tradition. This new mode will combine part of the stability and management of the roster of the original Darkest Dungeon to the paths and fight of Darkest Dungeon II. And above all, this huge DDII update is FREE and enriches our top title with even more quality content for our players. We at Red Hook evaluate the projects based on their potential ability to surprise, delight, and why not, even to disperse the players... Kingdoms encloses all three. We look forward to sharing more with our community“. - Chris Bourassa, co-founder, creative director
