Sloclap has released the first major update for Rematch, the online football action game that has already conquered over 6 million players worldwide. The update is now available on PC, Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 and introduces one of the features most requested by the community: the ranked 3v3 mode. Along with this come new aesthetic customisations, new cosmetic items and the much-awaited crossplay support, which finally allows you to play with friends on any platform.

Season 1 also brings balance fixes and improvements: player movement has been made more responsive and precise, some abusive mechanics (such as the infamous Ippy Slide) have been scaled back, while goalkeeper saves have been reworked to be more effective against aerial shots. Additionally, the ability-based matchmaking is now stricter, especially in ranked matches, to ensure more balanced encounters. Developers have already outlined upcoming updates: in October, ranked system updates will arrive, including league relegation and dynamic points, designed to better reflect players’ actual skill levels. Later, in Chapter 3, a new game mode will also be introduced.
Looking ahead, the Sloclap team is working on a 1v1 mode scheduled for Season 2, alongside features such as the Clubs system, internal tournaments, themed events World Cup and other updates that will make 2026 a pivotal year for Rematch. In parallel, they will continue improving the gameplay and netcode to ensure increasingly smooth and balanced matches.

In addition to being available on Xbox Game Pass, PlayStation e Steam, Rematch will also be available on Epic Games Store with the start of Season 1, while a physical edition will release in November 2025 for all platforms.
