To find the missing people, Zelda and Tri must delve into the rifts and explore the Mondo del Nulla, an alternate dimension accessible through various entry points. Each rift leads to a different area of the map, where the protagonists will discover dungeons filled with mysteries and dangers to face. Players must use the combined powers of Zelda and Tri to traverse these warped lands, solve puzzles, and overcome the challenges awaiting them.
During exploration of the World of Nothing, Zelda will discover a mysterious sword that will allow her to temporarily transform into a powerful swordsman, capable of facing enemies with strength and determination. This extraordinary power will be essential when progress is blocked, for defeating enemies alone, and for fighting by combining the sword’s power with the replicas. The sword’s power indicator can be recharged by collecting the dispersed energy in the World of Nothing.
Hyrule is populated by many eccentric characters, some of whom will prove to be of great help to the princess. Among them is Danpei, an engineer specializing in mechanical gadgets, with a particular talent for creating automatons. Once activated, these automatons can unleash powerful effects that will aid Zelda in her missions, but it is important to use them carefully, as they will break if they take too much damage.
In conjunction with the release of the title, Nintendo has unveiled the gold Hyrule Edition of the Nintendo Switch, which will be available starting from 26 September and includes 12 months of individual subscription to Nintendo Switch Online + Additional Package.
