Diablo IV: all new customisations

On 6 June Blizzard Entertainment will release the long-awaited sequel to the Diablo franchise: Diablo IV, available on PC via Battle.net, Xbox and PlayStation.

Orders of evil demons to slaughter, countless abilities to master, nightmare dungeons and dreamy loot: the new ARPG allows players to bring with them, into this world, ARPG gives players the chance to carry with them, into this world,, any playstyle developed in the previous chapters of Diablo.

Diablo IV offers players brand-new opportunities for personalisation and enables a custom-made gaming experience. The player’s will is the game’s DNA, from characterisation to the path taken in side quests, right down to how the world of Diablo is explored. Everyone is welcome, because Hell welcomes all. Here are some of the ways players can step through the gates of the world of Diablo, in the form of a character never so highly personalisable.

Classes of Diablo IV

Diablo IV offers a variety of classes for players to choose from, to customise the game according to their preferences.Choosing your class is crucial, as it will determine how the game progresses: the right choice is essential.

It will be possible to become a Barbarian, a relentless warrior and combatant, ready to plunge into battle without delay, master any weapon, and annihilate your foes. Alternatively, you can choose to be an Enchanter, a mage capable of manipulating any element, if you wish to hurl lightning, impale your enemies with ice darts, and summon fiery meteors from the sky. A Scavenger is ready for any situation. This is a shape-shifting, cunning, and stealthy warrior who allows players to specialise in various combat styles, from poisoning to dark magic. To fight in the wild, the Druid is the best choice: a shapeshifter able to transform effortlessly into any kind of creature, such as werewolves. Finally, the Necromanceris the most cunning class, a master of life and death who lets you summon legions of undead minions to overwhelm your opponents.

Character customisation

Unlike previous chapters, in Diablo IV character creation options are almost infinite. Appearance is entirely up to the player, with no requirement to stick to specific archetypes.

Players can customise facial features, beards, eye colour, skin tone, hair colour, piercings and much more. Each class also has its own unique hairstyle, adding another reason to choose your class carefully. Players can also count on dozens of designs and symbols to cover their characters’ entire bodies, allowing them to be tattooed from head to toe.Clothing and gear are also customisable, so in Diablo IV every player will have a completely different appearance from others: players will be able to express themselves like never before and bring to life the warrior within them.

Gameplay style selection

At the start of the game, the Diablo IV Ability Tree will be introduced Diablo IV’s Skill Tree, which offers players numerous abilities to enhance and master throughout the adventure. Players can choose to focus on a specific section of the Ability Tree, or prefer the most effective one depending on their current needs, freely exploring at their own pace.

The Paragon board, then, is a platform that lets players delve deeper into the crafting theory and immerse themselves in Diablo IV’s ability system once the Ability Tree is completed. Various nodes are placed on this board, offering a wide range of stats — from additional dexterity and intelligence — as well as more powerful nodes capable of completely altering an ability, unlocking bonuses, and improving gameplay.Players can plan the evolution of their abilities by identifying the desired ones on the Paragon board and then moving toward them.Players can plan the evolution of their abilities

Players will have more opportunities than ever to shape their game and customise it as they wish. Characters can take on any appearance they desire, and everyone can set their own rules of play. In Diablo IV, the possibilities are infinite.

Biography

Noldor, also known as Commodore (long story, but for those who don't want to read the next 3 lines, let's say that Commodore rhymes with Noldóro), was born in a torrid August of '84. Fast-forward on childhood, at X years old (go remember how many!) he is woken up at night by his father who takes him to the dining room, where on a 13-inch black and white he sees Tetris loaded on a Commodore64 for the first time (understood now, right?).
