Following the exclusive reveal during the Opening Night Live of Gamescom 2023, the developer and publisher Tripwire Interactive has announced that Killing Floor 3, the eagerly anticipated new chapter of the studio’s successful franchise, is currently in development for PC (via Steam ed Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Since the release of the original Killing Floor in 2009 and the sequel Killing Floor 2 in 2016, over 28 million players worldwide have joined the battle for survival against hordes of horrific Zed on PC and console. During this time, Tripwire has engaged and grown the massive Killing Floor community through constant post-launch free and premium content releases, with a GaaS (games-as-a-service) leadership in the sector. Now, leveraging the power of the Unreal Engine 5, Tripwire will build upon the series’ legacy, delivering its macabre visual style and embracing its dark dystopian tone to offer the next terrifying evolution of action/horror with Killing Floor 3.
"As a horror fan for years, it was a pleasure to lead our passionate development team in creating Killing Floor 3", he said Bryan Wynia, Creative Director at Tripwire Interactive. "We're extremely excited that fans can finally experience the world we've built".

It’s hard to believe Killing Floor has already been around for nearly 15 years, he said Alan Wilson, co-founder and CEO of Tripwire Interactive. We’ve provided free support to the player base for all this time, across two incarnations, so now we’re genuinely excited to show you the chaos the next iteration of the franchise will bring!
