With the release of NARUTO X BORUTO Ultimate Ninja STORM CONNECTIONS getting closer (17 novembre 2023), today we can discover more about the game’s gameplay in this new trailer which also showcases the original Special Story mode.

In Battaglia, players will be able to choose from the largest roster ever seen in a Naruto game, with over 130 characters, including 10 new ones. Facing opponents, players can use various combos and even switch leaders to keep the pressure on adversaries. Ninjutsu and Awakening will also play an equally important role: from this game, players can select up to 6 Ninjutsu abilities, while characters can also be awakened into a new form that ensures greater power, allowing them to turn the tide of battle in their favour. To conclude the fight, players can use their chakra and unleash a powerful Secret Technique, which, when specific characters are selected, can transform into a combination of Secret Techniques.
Another new feature, the “simplified” control mode, will allow all newcomers to the franchise to unleash combos with a single button press. This new control option adds to the classic controls that Storm series players already know.Fighting solo or online, characters will level up and unlock certain customizations and other features, such as Finish scenes.
The Offline Free Battle will allow players to choose their own path or completely decide how they want to fight against a computer or enter an offline tournament.Players will also be able to refine their skills against other players worldwide in the Online mode, choosing between Casual Matches or Ranked (custom online matchmaking will be available after launch).
In the Story Mode, players will relive epic battles from the Naruto series, revisiting key story moments while enjoying anime-style cutscenes and a high-quality battle experience. With the Special Story mode, a new story unfolds during the BORUTO events, in which Boruto discovers that a mysterious man, Merz, is attempting to start a war. What will be Naruto and Sasuke’s role?
NARUTO X BORUTO Ultimate Ninja STORM CONNECTIONS will be available from 17 November on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.
