In Windblown, players transform into Jumpers, warriors who fight to protect their home, the Ark, from the massive and ruthless Vortex and his servants: the Sentinels. As lightning, players will zip freely through extraordinary open worlds in every match, uncovering some of the many secrets to discover. Players must face and overcome complex and dangerous battles against Vortex’s Sentinels, determined to crush them and force them to start a new run.
The Jumpers absorb the memories of fallen warriors, learning to master the combat styles of their predecessors to unleash their full potential. Players can switch between weapons and adapt to any situation by freely adjusting their build as they progress through vibrant, intricate, multi-level environments. As they unlock more memories, they will collect more powerful and complex weapons that will turn them into a definitive war machine.
Moreover, players can choose to face the adventure solo or join an online co-op session with up to three players. Windblown’s fights are tough but always balanced: every run is a lesson, so you need to learn from each one, memorise the enemies’ movements and return to action stronger than ever.
"We wanted a roguelike with lightning-fast combat, but we simply realised it didn’t exist.", said the Motion Twin team, a studio based in France. "So we rolled up our sleeves and made the game we wanted: a title that lets us dive into action alone or with friends, when we’re in the right mood (or just to take fewer hits)!”
