Team17 Digital has released its latest update for its World War II shooter, Hell Let Loose. Update 14.5 brings a series of fixes and refinements, responding to community feedback on the British forces launched at the start of the year. It features updated maps, new weapons, new uniforms and more.
The main updates include:
- Two new forces: Players can now fight in the roles of the brand-new British Eighth Army and the German Afrika Korps.
- Updated maps: The latest maps released during the British Forces, Driel and El Alamein now feature new timings.
- El Alamein is now set at dusk.
- Driel is now set at night.
- Additional uniforms: In update 14.5, uniforms from the German Afrika Korps and the British Eighth Army have been added. These are joined by the British Eighth Army MK-II helmet, the DAK helmet, and the DAK field cap.
- New weapons: The M1928A1 Thompson has been added to Hell Let Loose, along with the SMLE No.1 Mk III, which replaces the Pattern 1914. In addition to these additions, the Bren has been given a bipod.
- New tank: Update 14.5 includes the new tank Churchill Mk III.

Hell Let Loose is a squad-based, first-person shooter set in World War II, featuring epic battles between infantry, tanks, artillery and a dynamically shifting front line. Players can choose from 14 playable roles within infantry, reconnaissance and armour units, each offering a unique gameplay experience.
There's never been a better time to try Hell Let Loose: the game will be free-to-play on the and platforms Xbox and PC from 30 November to 4 December. For users PlayStation, the free-to-play event will take place on a later date, from 20 December to 25 December.
