Phase 2 of the 1.5 update for Reverse: 1999 unlocks Ezra, a new 6-star support character. When the final ability is unlocked, players can obtain Maxies and erukas for teammates. His full ability set and background are detailed in the following guide.
Ezra is a fungus student and researcher from Melbourne. He is rational, reliable, and always ready to help others. Thanks to his research on Australian fungi and reincarnators, he was successfully promoted to the central office of Laplace.

Skills set:
- PROTECTION TO THE BODY: [Debuff] Mass attack. Reduces the target’s current HP by 15% and deals 30% mental damage to two enemies; additionally, inflicts 15% Genesis damage based on the caster’s maximum HP. The additional damage can critically strike. Plant 1 [Honey Mushroom]; maximum mushroom count is 2.
- STIMULUS TO THE MIND: [Buff] Mass buff. Loses 15% of current HP and applies a shield equal to 15% of the caster’s maximum HP to all allies for 1 round. Plant 1 [Ghost Fungus]; maximum fungus quantity is 2.
- Final Ability "COMPASSION ALL-ROUND": Massive buff. Grants +1 Moxie and +1 Eureka to all allies. Plant the maximum number of [Honey Mushrooms] and let them mature, activating their effects immediately.
- Intuition 1: when entering battle, gains +2 Eureka; after using Ultimate, gains +4 Eureka. When casting Spells, if the maximum number of corresponding mushrooms has been planted, consume 2 Eureka and grow the corresponding mushroom once. If the mushroom matures, its effects activate immediately.
- Intuition 2: when entering combat, taken damage is reduced by 8%.
- Intuition 3: at the end of a round, every fungus present on the field heals the caster based on 8% of their lost HP. This effect can be a critical hit. When using a spell, if the maximum number of fungi has been planted and the fungus corresponding to that ability is not present, 2 Eureka are consumed to increase the caster's Moxie by 1. (This activates only if the caster's Moxie is below 5).

- Ezra can be used as a support for long battles, providing a shield to all teammates. Players can build a chase squad [Stella] around Ezra by adding 37 or build a squad with him and other high-crit characters.

- Healer/Survival: Tooth Fairy is the first choice, but other healers also work.
