Isonzo expands with free expansion Caporetto coming on December 5th

After long fighting on all fronts currently available on Ison and having talked about it in our review, today we are very happy to see that the developers of BlackMill Games are keeping faith in roadmap previously presented.

The first free expansion of theHistorical FPS will be based on one of the most terrible defeats in the history of the Italian Army, namely the Battle of Caporetto. This massive update will bring well 3 new maps, a new faction and aesthetic option of customizable separately as DLC, but let's go see in detail what we can expect for 5 December on all platforms where the title is available.

The main addition is certainly represented by the new faction, or the German Empire, also engaged on the Italian front during the First World Conflict. With uniforms, weapons and equipment based on historical research to authentically recreate the German army as it was on the Italian front, the boys of BlackMill confirm themselves to be true perfectionists with regard to historical accuracy.

This new faction will include its own version of each class, for example, from Stoß and Rifle previously revealed in its devblogs. These brave soldiers are ready to fight the Italian defenders of Monte Kolovrat, before the three maps that will be added as part of Battle of Offensive di Caporetto.

The Offensive game mode by Isonzo, as well as who knows the game, sees the players fight through multiple different maps to determine who wins or loses the overall offensive. The first map of the new offensive in Caporetto is a hilly assault in a rainy autumn climate, where the German army must advance through the ruins of a heavily bombed city, and then catch more trench lines dug in steep slopes. Their final goal is the top of the hill 1114 and it will not be an easy fight for either party!

The Battle of Caporetto (also known as the 12th Battle of the Isonzo) It was historically a great defeat for the Kingdom of Italy, since the German and Austro-Hungarian soldiers broke down the Italian lines and forced them to retreat. It was a disaster big enough to bring down the Italian government and force to replace the top Italian General Luigi Cadorna with his successor Armando Diaz!

Jos Hoebe, creative director and co-founder of the WW1 game series, said: "We look forward to releasing the free expansion Caporetto for Isonzo this December 5, the first of many free updates we planned. It expands the game experience of Isonzo to cover more key aspects of the war on the Italian front, adding both the troops of the German Empire and the first part of a new German offensive. "

For players also attentive to the aesthetics of their soldiers will also be available Royal Units Pack,a DLC paid (€ 9.99) that will offer players more visual customization options for the German faction by introducing the distinctive uniforms of 2 main states within the German Empire: the kingdoms of Bavaria and Württemberg. The DLC includes new uniforms for all classes, in addition to a special uniform as official, for a total of 13 aesthetic objects. Both Württemberg and Bavarian troops are equipped with distinctive headdresses and the package also contains 5 facial hairstyles and 4 face objects that can be used for any faction in the game.

This update will also include a expanded class XP limit as well as a prestigious mode for the most elitist players to show their dedication!

I have to be honest, I wasn't a pro gamer right from the start, so much so that my first experiences more than as a gamer were as a spectator: while my parents, in turn, played, I enjoyed watching them (hey, I invented Twitch ten years in advance!!).
