At the heart of the experience lies the Galactic League, a clandestine circuit born in the Outer Rim and founded by race enthusiast Darius Pax. Galactic League, a clandestine circuit born in the Outer Rim and founded by race enthusiast Darius Pax. The competition, however, has fallen under the control of Kestar Bool, a well-known pilot and far from upright, willing to do anything to keep his title. Shade, a solitary pilot with his own score to settle with the Bool family. The campaign adopts a structure in which the player can choose their own path through the Galactic League, deciding which events to face and gradually unlocking new content and challenges. The races also take a particularly aggressive approach: beyond seeking the optimal trajectory, players can ram into and eliminate opponents, accepting greater risks for more substantial rewards.
One of the central elements of Galactic Racer is naturally the vehicle roster. Players will be able to pilot landspeeder, speeder bike, skim speeder and podracer, each with different repulsorcraft classes defined by specific physics and driving styles. Vehicles can also be built and customised, allowing adjustments to both appearance and features that aid in gaining an advantage during races. PvPwith challenges in which rivalries and reputation will accompany the player throughout progression. Victories and decisions will indeed determine your standing within the circuit, while challenges become progressively more demanding.
For Lucasfilm Games, the project also represents an opportunity to once again explore the culture of racing within the Star Wars universe through a new story, while simultaneously allowing players to pilot some of the franchise’s most recognizable vehicles. For Fuse Games, it’s instead a particularly important debut: the studio began working on the project about three and a half years ago with a small team, and has now reached the release of its first title.
