Developed by NExT Studios and published by Level Infinite, SYNCED transports players to Meridian, a zone devastated and populated by deadly Nano - former humans transformed by a tragically evolved nanotechnology into a threat to man. Players will assume the role of Runner, brave lucky hunters looking for Nerva, a precious nano-energy resource.
SYNCED is characterized by a cooperative gameplay to three players, with runners who can increase the size of their team synchronizing with Prime Nano and transforming them into Companion Nano. Runners can strategically use the skills of their Nano Companion to integrate them into their game strategy and turn the fates of the battle. For those who love to be a wolf lone, however, SYNCED also offers a Solo mode.
I Companion Nano are just one of the ways players can adapt their build to SYNCED. During each run players will find exchange machines that will allow them to acquire random upgrades, known as Exchange Mode, which expire at the end of each run but which provide a welcome, though temporary, increase in power. The additional barrels left to fall from the defeated enemies can be brought to Haven, the Runner base, and permanently equipped as Runner Mods. Both temporary and permanent mods draw from the same reserve. Equiping the Runner mods, players will not only have a pre-set endowment, but will also increase their power level, becoming increasingly strong to face the threats that are hidden in the depths of Meridian.
I Guntech for weapons are another way for players to define their own style: these weapons are unlocked during the game and are equipped with special features that alter the mechanics of normal firearms and add unique features, such as the "Vicious Cycle" that recalls all bullets fired during charging, inflicting additional damage on the way back.
