Dotemu and The Game Kitchen join forces to give new life to one of the most loved ninja sagas ever: NINJA GAIDEN. After stirring with TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge and Blasphemous, the two realities return to the spotlight with a nostalgic and innovative project. NINJA GAIDEN: Ragebound, 2D sliding platformer, shows today with a new trailer that officially introduces Kumori, the second playable protagonist of the adventure.

Kumori is not any ninja. Temuto descendant Clan Black Spider, antagonist historian of the franchise, Kumori abandons the orthodoxy of combat to embrace a ferocious and unfaithful style. Modern weapons, demonic witchcraft and a resolute indole make her a character out of the patterns, ready to everything to become stronger. The debut trailer reveals gameplay sequences in which Kumori devastates enemies with lightning combos and supernatural powers, offering an intriguing alternative to the most classic ninja approach.
Set immediately after the first events of the Original NINJA GAIDEN for NES, Ragebound tells a new story of revenge, redemption and unexpected alliances. With Ryu Hayabusa away, it touches Kenji Mozu, young ninja of Clan Hayabusa, facing the dark forces that are invading the human world. But it is not only: his destiny is intertwined with that of Kumori, giving life to such a powerful and dangerous bond.
The heart of experience is "Ninja Fusion", a forbidden skill that literally merges the spirit and body of Kenji and Kumori. Players will have to master their use to access devastating powers and unique synergies. The gameplay is enriched by a new tactical dimension, between tight fighting, millimeter platforming, colossal bosses and secrets to discover.
Dotemu and The Game Kitchen promise a top-notch aesthetic compartment. The style in pixel art evokes the splendor of the great 2D classics, but with a modern attention: evocative settings, threatening enemies and smooth animations merge into a vibrant and dark world. To accompany the action, one soundtrack by author enriched by still mysterious guest composers, but ready to leave the mark.
NINJA GAIDEN: Ragebound is expected to summer 2025 up PC, Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S Xbox One.
