Classified in 2023
Starting this year, there will be a zero between the two Split (with matching rewards) in an attempt to adapt LoL to the expectations of today's players and alleviate the stress related to the need to avoid loss of points or retrocession in the central part of the year.
Zeroing of the ranked: with the beginning of the Split 2 of the season classified, zeroing will not be as drastic as that of January, since the game will not undergo such significant changes to justify the need to make the players sweat the conquest of the level they had previously. In addition, mid-year zeroing will be even less incisive for those who haven't played many games since January
Rewards: Now players can get all the rewards classified to each Split, including icons and emotes, edges and classified aspects. This means that this year there will be two aspects for the ranked, as well as additional rewards for those who try climbing
In addition to all this, players will no longer have to reach the Gold level to obtain the classified aspects, which will be assigned on the basis of a number of classified matches played, which varies depending on the level
The chromas will continue to be conferred according to the final level you have reached in each Split
Event Initial Skull
From 10 to 11 January, LCS, LEC, LCK, LPL, LJL, CBLOL, LLA, PCS and VCS will organize a special two-day live event that will offer a preview of the 2023 season and the most promising players to follow this year, giving fans a taste of what awaits them on the Landa and in the LoL eSport during 2023.
All the professional teams of the nine leagues will send players to challenge themselves in the beginning whistle event. The method of choice of players will depend on each region, so you may see variations between the different leagues. The games will be at the best of 3 on the Evoire Landa, without ban of samples or repetitions. Each of the professional teams represented on the winning team will be able to create together with our designers an emote that will be inserted in League of Legends.
The start whistle event will replace the All-Star event of League of Legends. Although this tournament has given fans a lot of special moments over the years, the current calendar can create some problems for players participating in it. Replacing the All-Star with the start whistle event will allow professional players to enjoy a well-deserved break and will offer fans a new platform that will complement the end-year local competitions and celebrations that usually the various regions organize during this period.
Challenge for Social Impact
To celebrate all the upcoming changes in the jungle, League of Legends will hold a special challenge for the social impact for players around the world. For every 100 game missions of Season 2023 that players will complete by January 24, Riot Games will donate $1 to the Riot Games Social Impact Fund, a charity fund in partnership with ImpactAssets, to support environmental protection initiatives, up to a maximum of $1 million total.
