Ashika Island, also known as "Island of Sea Lions", is part of a small archipelago located in an unknown location within the Asia-Pacific region. The latest communications indicate that the island is currently used as a hub by the Konni ultra-nationalist group. Among the various activities, there is also the transport of chemical and biological weapons. According to the current information obtained by [[OMISSIS]], fearsome weapons would be sent by a suspected biolaboratory facility located in Al Mazrah.
Originally Ashika Island had to become a tourist destination, but the development of the island stopped in the mid-1990s due to [[OMISSIS]] and the incredible work of [[OMISSIS]]. But the reasons have never been revealed publicly. Since then, movements to and from the island have been strongly limited.
Recently intercepted communications suggest that people belonging to the Shadow Company, under the guidance of [[OMISSIS], took control of the island and that they are, apparently, hunting for members of the Konni group. Although this place seems abandoned, Konni operators are still active in this conflict zone.
Regardless of where you are, then, you should maintain maximum caution.
Point of interest: Ōganikku Farms

Most of Ashika Island's north-western sector consists of a mix of agricultural, residential and industrial areas, as well as old coastal defense facilities.
Observation area and ruins

At the north-western end of the island there is a tower of communication (one of the three towers easily identifiable throughout the island), located on a narrow ground flap with sand, rocks and a sea dam. There are also a large pile of concrete in degrading state and two war structures in demolition.

A flat and sandy beach with partially submerged wastewater barriers, massive scattered here and there and access to the main island, as well as the water purification plant to the east.
Greenhouses

A large agricultural structure with courtyard, cargo warehouses and eight greenhouses, all with a roof number to facilitate its location. Here are different cultures (as indicated by the images of fruit or vegetables on the walls). In the southeast there are both the main entrance and other maintenance warehouses.
Point of interest: Town Center

In the western area and part of the south-west area of the island you will find a bay with imposing sea dams. To the north-west of the main submarine channel, there is the area of the Ferry Terminal and facilities for tourists. Cross the canal bridges to reach the hotel and the market district, with a further service station and the semicircular structure of City Hall.
Dam to the north

Going further to the ocean, there are a couple of L-shaped concrete barriers immersed in the seabed to prevent tides from causing floods. Even if you can access this area, it offers limited possibilities to hide, unless you like hanging just under the water surface. To complete everything, there is a small area to put in water the boats.
Ferry Terminal

Thanks to a steel-covered pier the visitors could land from the ferries that once arrived often to the island... until the beginning of recent hostilities. Through this pier you can quickly access the tourist center. You can also reach the parking, circular in shape, and the bathrooms (also with circular structure).
Building of the tourist center

In this white and concrete building, stained by rainfall, visitors can find information (including an island map), as well as a small souvenir shop and kitchens. Operators may discover interesting lines of shooting to the farm area and Town Center.
Event Center Building

Parallel to the blue concrete waterfront, which continues approximately east and south-east to reach the aquarium (which has a similar color), is the building of the event center. This structure is medium sized and is distinguished by the signs and solar panels on the roof. Inside, there is a reception area and a main ballroom with skylights.
Service station

A small service station that offers all the vehicle repair and refuel services you already know, in addition to excellent road access for the rest of the island.
Scientific centre

Sustained by a stone wall to the east and near the water streams, here is a modern scientific center, which has various access points inside and on the roof. This structure, whose shape resembles a bit of an U, has two floors (with an amixed balcony overlooking a main atrium, a staircase leading to the roof and an easy access cable to climb.
River channel and bridges

The western entrance of the waterways below the island is accessible through the canal, to cross which there are two bridges. It is also easily accessed to the sloping concrete shores. Note that the metallic arches of the pedestrian bridge are also blue.
South Dam and Floating Service Station

The southern port of the open navigation channel has mostly calm waters, a floating service station located on a pontoon for the supply and repair of water vehicles, and access to the main island through concrete stairs. If you're not interested in covering, you can use the dam area to stake out the precision rifle. Take a look at the tide area below the aquarium to find an infiltration point under the main entrances.
Market district and hotel

A small group of warehouses with stalls selling various local products. Niches and roofs offer many possibilities of movement. You can also easily access water and channel. In the east and on the other side of the main road there is a hotel with an atrium on the ground floor, a sushi bar, a cable to climb up to the upper floor, two luxurious rooms and access to the roof.
Service station

South of the market there is a service station to quickly refuel and repair vehicles, a circular bathroom near the concrete waterfront and quick access to the bay or the nearby town hall.
City hall

Modern and imposing structure with the shape of a semicircular "full" if seen from above, this building is a labyrinth of glass and cement. Inside there is a large ground floor open plan, mobile stairs leading up to a small kitchen and a mezzanine with windows in beautiful view. There is then an upper floor, with a Zen garden both inside and outside. The rocky area behind the property offers access to the castle gardens.
Point of interest: Beach Club

Further south-west of Town Center and east of the port are an aquarium and the Beach Club. This area also offers the possibility to swim outdoors along the south-western ocean coast. Some parts of this area are easily identifiable if you wash with the parachute, since the paths are of a lively aquamarine color.
Water

Many of the paths north of the aquarium are painted blue, which makes them easy to locate even from large heights. There seems to be no life in the aquarium, which is composed of a large exhibition hall, a small parking lot and, under the elevated grey catwalk, an area where the tide water ends.
Beach Clubs and Baths

As you can also guess from the color of the boulevards, the burgundy-coloured pavement takes you to a large barbecue area, four small sealed huts and the main club house, partially open out. This main property has two bath areas and, in the upper area, a bar.
Beach and observation point

A series of low and curved concrete steps leads to a small beach, a bay on the ocean with a trampoline surrounded by the dam, a modest car park and a pedestrian bridge that leads to a pier with an observation point from the circular structure. What secrets are hidden under the spiral staircase in the center?
Demolition building

The picturesque panorama of the Beach Club is only partly ruined by a demolition site located on the cliff just above. On top of the cliff there are the remains of a structure that is now only a semi-destructed mixture of concrete and swallows. Please note the routes from here lead to town hall and castle.
Point of interest: Tsuki Castle

The highest area in the center of Ashika Island sees an ancient castle with various fortifications and a natural defense, consisting of a hill, on the south-west side of the structure. It is a vast plateau with low bastions, cherry blossoms and a series of secondary structures scattered in various points. Pay attention to combat opportunities, but don't forget to look down: under this fortress you can find an underground channel and a submarine base!
Main fortress

Although the ancient walls of this imposing castle have been marked by recent hostilities, there are still plenty of hiding places, access points and places to explore, both above and below ground. The inner defensive ring of the fortress begins with a ditch on three sides (the hills in the rest of the area prevent the connection of the ditch with the whole base). The walls of the ditch offer openings, leading to an internal courtyard walled with a "dojo" and an adjacent structure with a mobile radar.

In the yard there is then a small more external building recently used as a barracks. In all this, the main structure of the castle overlooks the others. This building, with a loose shape in L, has a central tower and two other smaller outer towers to explore, both from the roofs of tiles and inside. The inner part of the structure has spacious rooms connected by corridors with wooden walls, a raised floor above the main operating room in the central tower and a server room at the top, on the third floor, offering views and exit options in all directions.
North-Western Bastions (Batterie SAM)

To the north-west of the castle, above Power Plant and parts of the Residential area, there is a terraced slope, on top of which three SAM batteries installed quickly and fury, low defensive walls that clearly experienced moments of action, various containers, excavation machines and an old well. Will it be worth checking out what's at the bottom of this well?
Museum area to the north

The old structures on the northern side of the castle consist of two main groups: a museum with walls and a courtyard, a ceremonial hut, two connected buildings and two floors, as well as various (usually damaged) windows scattered around the corridors. Pay attention to the server room on the upper floor of the larger building. Further east is the northern and main entrance of the castle, a visitor centre with a raised floor (to allow vehicles to pass below) and quick access to the ditch surrounding the inner area of the castle.
Southeast Gardens

Before recent fighting, this part of the castle park could be called "tranquilla", with zen gardens, maples, benches, bridges and ceremonial huts. Adventure here to reach the area above Port Ashika or during the clashes around the castle.
Waterways (Base submarine)

Below the castle you will find a tunnel system dug into the rock that extend underground. These are known locally as "channels" and offer you an underground route from the west (Town Center), north (Water Treatment) and east (Port Ashika). Do not make the mistake of thinking that there are not many additional infiltration points that allow operators to move from and to the castle area located above. Swim or drive an aquatic medium between these connected channels. You will also find a submarine pier in the center and many other niches and hidden routes to discover.
Point of interest: Port Ashika

The south-west end is dominated by rocky cliffs and a port that has the same name as the island. On your way to or from the castle, you will find a steep area to the north and a series of industrial warehouses, offices, a communication tower going to the ocean and an entrance channel to the underground submarine base.
Bridge in the back of donkey

The main asphalt ring that runs through the perimeter of the island is transformed into a small bridge in the back of the donkey where the road moves away from the Beach Club to reach the entrance of Port Ashika. Watch the enemies under the bridge!
Bench and warehouses

Once you pass the main entrance hut and the covered barrier, in the industrial courtyard west of the bridges on the canal you will find storage warehouses. Nearby are located a structure with a red roof (for repair and remittance boats), two open structures for remittance of boats on the pier, an area to put in water the boats and a larger warehouse with two open bays. A small car park, then, leads to a courtyard with storage container and a communication tower (one of the three present on the island).
The channel: river channel and control building

Near the road bridge on the canal there is a building of the harbour authorities and a large warehouse with two lifts for boats, not far from the red pedestrian bridge. This channel separates the two sides of the port and leads directly to the vast underground submarine base located below the castle. To the north-east of the red bridge there is the control building, with server rooms and offices located along the coast.
Ashika Bay and Floating Service Station

The imposing dams put a brake on the strength of the waves and allow in this port to reign an atmosphere of tranquility... until the battle begins. Boats can easily refuel here, at the floating pontoon with attached service station. There are various boarding points for the main island and, of course, the channel allows you to go and come at full speed (on your aquatic medium) from the submarine base.
Service station

With good access from the main road (although the story is completely different if you come from the castle ramparts), this service station is next to the canal and close to the control building.
Mechanical zone and fuel storage tanks

On the north-eastern side of the port of Ashika there are four medium-sized warehouses filled mainly with mechanical parts. This building, slightly elevated, has parts of boats, an office on two floors, a warehouse with open bay near the entrance from the road and a barrier, as well as having, in the outdoor parking, a lower structure and from the red roof with storage tanks. Next to the shore, there are other tanks waiting for pumping and transport operations at sea. Note the grassy cliff and the paths that are located between the border of this area of buildings and the rocky beach.
Rocky Cliffs

A small picnic area and high rocky cliffs surround the eastern exit road and offer excellent views of the container scattered to the north-east beach. Since the visual is still limited, be careful about who is standing around here, or you become one of them too!
Point of interest: Residential

On the lower ground located under the ramparts of the castle north and east of farms and plots of land, there are some residential houses in the middle of a couple of industrial structures (Power Plant and water purification plant). This area, easily accessible through paved roads and surrounded by them, is rich in places to discover, both above and below ground.
Apartments

West of Residential's main houses is a small apartment complex surrounded by a low wall. These two apartments (indicated as A and B) have both four floors and have access inside, roof and internal stairs. The surrounding area offers a barbecue area, a swimming pool and a tennis court.
Power Plant

To the west of the castle, in a courtyard with a triangular shape and surrounded by a metal fence, stands this central, which provides energy to the whole island. Inside you can find a large turbine generator. Cartographic materials currently available seem to indicate the presence of a tunnel that would link the water purification plant to the north-east.
Water purification plant

At the centre of the northern coast of the island there is a small water treatment plant, along with a third channel leading to underground waterways. On the surface there is a drainage tank, offices in the shape of a hut and container. If you cross the road, then you will see the upper pump area, with a small office and the entrance into a tunnel on the hill. This tunnel could allow you to secretly access the plant and get into the waterways.
Residential district

A part of the rocky ground north of the castle was transformed into a small residential district, located between the water purification plant (west) and the communication tower, and the service station (east). These humble wooden houses, which all have some access inside, are surrounded by the main roads. Some structures have only one floor, others have two. In the south-east there is a circular building used as public baths, as well as a bus stop on the route leading to Shipwreck and Port Ashika. This area of Ashika Island is characterized by a thin veil of fog, which reduces visibility on distance and visual in certain situations. Although this has no consequences on fast and close combat situations, snipers should take into account.
Point of interest: Shipwreck

The mild climate and the danger of the coast have marked the fate of two cargo ships. Both were flooded here, and the containers they transported were mostly recovered and carefully arranged. Further north-east there are cliffs and the main asphalted road, as well as the communication tower and the observation area above a service station.
Cargo ship

Below the rocky cliffs, along this windy beach, is the first of the two identical cargo ships that have flown here and that over time are rusting. The boat is tilting towards the ocean, but its hull is intact.
Cargo ship

In this area of the rocky coast there remains only the skeleton of a rusty ship. The containers that it transported once were largely downloaded. Also pay attention to the hole in the hull of the superstructure.
Container

At the base of the rocky cliffs are the empty containers that originally were on the two cargo ships now are shipped nearby. The local carriers have arranged the container in a rather careful and familiar manner. .
Demolition zone at the top of the cliff

This old concrete building is currently in demolition and the place is in ruins. On the other hand, however, the height and visuals offered by this area make it interesting to get an advantageous position or to prepare ambushes to enemies along the main road.
Observation area and service station

In the north-eastern tip of the island you can see a communication tower (one of the three present) and exceptional views of the castle (although in exposed positions). In the area below there are dams and the rocky ocean coast, in addition to a small service station close to the residential district and the main road.
Ashika Island will be the launch area for the Battle royale Return, as well as an additional option for infiltration in DMZ. You will find all this in Season 2 of Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® II and Warzone 2.0, out on 15 February on all platforms. Additional information on Season 2 is coming in a blog post that will arrive the8 february.
