Let's start with perhaps the most important thing of the entire review: this title is undoubtedly Skydrift's remastered released in 2011. Ten years later, the masters of Digital Reality decided to repropose this game to the new generations and we could not fail to try it.
The type of game is basically arcade, where everything is accented on racing through airplanes. Very simple and really little more to explain, it will therefore be necessary to deepen some aspects in order to give you a view as complete and critical as possible and to avoid being prolixis.
The races are divided into three types: power race, speed race and survival. The first are the classic races where the first one wins the third lap using all the various weapons recoverable along the route (missiles, machine guns, shields...), the second race instead is based on the speed and therefore in order to be able to win not only you will have to arrive first at the end of the race but to cross energy circles that give more speed to your airplane.

The last mode is, in personal opinion, the only one who gave some "competitiveness" to the game itself; in fact it is characterized by being a race in which every tot seconds the last of the competitors is eliminated (literally exploded) from the race. He's gonna win the plane that he's gonna be first at the last elimination. If the other races seemed at once great classics, the latter, despite indeed an evergreen, gave a breath of air to a new title of a kind aged a little bad.

It is possible, through various victories during the campaign mode, to meet different visually appreciable maps and to unlock various models of airplanes with specific statistics (speed, resistance, turbo, manoeuvrability...).

The technical section, however, really leaves to be desired. In the era of video games where it is difficult to distinguish the graphic quality from reality we believe it could offer video gamers a product more suitable to the current graphic standards. However, we do not want to jump to quick conclusions and we re-enter you by posting the INTERO menu of settings. (yes, it's really all here, no real option available)

I therefore conclude that for lovers of the genre is definitely a good title to relive old emotions, also seen the absence of novelty worthy of note regarding the title of 2011. For novices, however, it could be "worth it" and therefore valid, only as free to play and not to 8-10 euro as offered currently.
