Team 17 and The Game Kitchen have announced the development of a sequel to Blasphemous, which should come 2023. Currently in the early stages of production, the game will be the direct follow-up of the award-winning action-platform of 2019.
The announcement came along with the revelation of Wounds of Events, a brand new DLC Free for the original Blasphemous that concludes the first trip of the Penitent and unlocks the real final of the game. Wounds of Events will come 9 December on all platforms on which the basic game is available.
"We are so excited to finally announce that we started working on a Blasphemous sequel, the community showed so much love for the first game and we look forward to sharing more when we can! New beginnings also mean new endings, and Wounds of Eventide is exactly this, it is the last chapter of the original Blasphemous and we hope that people love to play the new content as much as we loved creating it." this is the comment of the developers.
