On Sunday 15 September, the National Cinema Museum will become the stage for an unmissable event for all Star Wars fans: the Star Wars Experience. Starting at 11:00 am, the imperial and rebel legions will parade through the streets of the center of Turin, accompanied by the legendary "Imperial March", before invading the Museum inside the Mole Antonelliana. The protagonists of the event will be the members of the 501st Italica Garrison and the Rebel Legion Italian Base, official LucasFilm groups, who will create an immersive experience with their faithfully reproduced costumes.
Inside the Museum, fans will be able to take photos with iconic characters from the saga such as Darth Vader, Stormtrooper, Jedi and X-Wing pilots, who will pay homage to the "galaxy far, far away". Visitors in Star Wars-themed costumes will have a reduced ticket, transforming the entire museum into a living film set.

The event will take place as part of the exhibition MOVIE ICONS. Objects from Hollywood sets, an extraordinary exhibition that celebrates cinema with over 120 original objects. Among the memorabilia on display, Star Wars fans will be able to admire a Stormtrooper helmet, a lock of Chewbacca's fur and Luke Skywalker's legendary lightsaber. But the exhibition does not stop there: visitors will be able to discover iconic objects from other films such as Rocky's gloves, Titanic's life jacket and Ready Player One's VR visor.
Organized by the Museum in collaboration with Theatrum Mundi and curated by Domenico De Gaetano and Luca Cableri, the exhibition will be open until January 13, 2025. A unique journey through the cinema of the last 40 years, capable of fascinating every generation of viewers.
